The USPGA Championship starts on Thursday (why don’t they spread the majors out a bit – Padraig still has a headache after winning the Open).
It’s being played at Oakland Hills this year. A course with loads of previous. A certain Walter Hagen was the club’s first pro for example. The famous South course (also known as the monster) has hosted 16 biggies, including the 2004 Walker Cup, 6 US Opens, two previous USPGA’s, plus the US Seniors Open, Amateur Mens and Womens Opens…it’s a long list.
