Watch the Majors. Win a GoKart

GoKart Masters Competition

Who needs a green jacket when you can win yourself a GoKart?

All you have to do is predict who’ll win at the US Masters at Augusta, and for a tie-break question, what the winning score will be.

To enter just click on “add a comment” below, fill in your name and email and put your answer in the box. Remember, tell us who you think will win and what their score will be.

We’ll be running the same competition for each of the 4 majors in 2008. If you win and you’ve already got a GoKart, if you like you can have the equivalent in batteries and accessories.

To get you started and save you a bit of googling, here are the winners, and their scores, for the last ten years: 1998 O’Meara (279); 1999 Olazabal (280); 2000 Singh (278); 2001 Tiger (272); 2002 Tiger (276); 2003 Weir (281); 2004 Mickelson (279); 2005 Tiger (276); 2006 Mickelson (281); 2007 Johnson (289).

So take a look at who’s been on form so far this year and have a go. Only one entry per person please, but tell your friends and get them to enter too. We keep everyone’s email address private and don’t pass them to any third parties. You may get an occasional email newsletter directly from us, but you can unsubscribe with a single click at any time. If more than one person gets it right, we’ll have a draw to pick the winner. Only entries posted before the tournament starts will be considered, and we’ll announce the result here after the last round on Monday 14th April.
Good luck!

  1. Tiger probably but that would just be boring. Retief Goosen has been close in last 3 years and top 3 in 4 of the last 6 so that’s my choice. score 279.

  2. Padraig Harrington on 283, if it rains a bit.
Followed by me on 284 (in my mind :-)

  3. Henrik Stenson with a score of 281 he’s a long hitter, and his caddy knows the course

  4. Johnson Wagner – I think I deserve at least 3 trolleys if I’m right about this. Must be 1000-1 minimum at the bookies!

  5. Chris D,marco – about time he was the “bride” and not the “brides maid” – score 280

  6. Can’t see anyone else getting close to Tiger Woods. Only question is by how many shots. My guess is he will do it in 276.

  7. Jose Maria Olazabal – he’s just glad to be there after his recent problems and is twice a proven Masters winner.
