We asked when does the golf season start; on the first day of the Masters, or don’t be silly, it never ends. The result was an overwhelming 86% vote for the latter. That surprised us. We thought there’d be a larger slice of us owning up to being fair weather golfers. So, is this proof that the brits are tougher than we thought, or is it just another sign of global warming levelling out the seasons?
My swindle of up to 16 blokes goes out four mornings a week throughout the year. First light or 8a.m., whichever is the later. Except today, because there was a lot of white stuff on the course.
Needless to say, we are retired persons, and come from the cohort that was toughened up during WW2. For us, there’s no such thing as a golf “season”.
