GoKart powers Steve Ackling round 150 holes.

Charnwood Forest Golf Club captain Steve Ackling did his bit to prevent slow play after tackling 150 holes in less than 14 hours with a little help from GoKart.

Ackling completed his mammoth stint on the course in 13 hours 50 minutes, averaging 93 minutes per 18-hole round, with a GoKart Automatic helping him keep up the impressive pace.

The colossal feat was inspired by former club member Harry Flude who undertook the same challenge 99 years ago, and, after hitting his first shot at 5am, 150 holes and around 30 miles later, Ackling holed a par putt at 6.50pm having raised more than £2,000 for the Rainbows Hospice charity.

An average gross score of 82 across the 150 holes saw Ackling play impressively close to his handicap of 12, with his best score coming on his fifth round with a five-over-par 74 including an eagle on the final hole.

In addition to the eagle, he also registered three birdies and 57 pars and during the day lost only one ball

Well done Steve. Big cheer from here at GoKart!
