GoKart front wheel leads the way

Front wheels on electric trolleys are often a problem in winter conditions. Mud can build up around the supporting structure holding the wheel and the base of the bag, causing a bit of clogging. Until now the GoKart was no different, it was even said the GoKart was worse than some. Well, we didn’t waste time arguing, we designed a solution, and it’s now in production.

GoKart Electric Golf Trolley

The new GoKart front wheel assembly won’t get bunged up with mud, leaves, stones or greenkeeper’s droppings. The wheel will remain free to turn in the most arduous conditions you can throw at it. Much of the structure around the wheel has been removed, but we’ve also managed to improve overall strength and rigidity. As a finishing touch to prevent mud getting thrown onto the bag, we’ve included a mud flap. Simple and effective.

The new design front unit is compatible with all GoKarts. So if any existing owners are having problems with trapped mud, we’re happy to supply the parts free of charge. Please send your request via email by clicking here. We’ll send the necessary parts, along with our trademark clear-no-nonsense-instructions as soon as possible. If there’s a few days delay, please be patient and we’ll be as quick as possible.

  1. If you haven’t already just sent me one, could I have one of your new design super, duper, non-clogging front wheel doodads please? M y current one is full of dead leaves, mud, crushed shells from the paths and sundry bits of dead pheasants and squirrels – but , thankfully no green keeper droppings as far as I can determine but then I ain’t gonna look more closely for that as I am sure you will understand.
Many thanks and a very happy yuletide to y’all at GKHQ – that should keep the Russkies guessing!

  2. Thank you for the excellent newsletter.
I purchased my GoKart at the beginning of October and am MEGGA-CHUFFED with it. Am pleased to report a fair amount of interest at my club (Well, it’s not really mine but I play there)
Was going to contact you about the front wheel getting constipated but you’re ahead of me.
Assuring you that I am NOT a ‘freebyholic’ I will still very much appreciate receiving a new design front unit and will be replying via e-mail as requested.
    Regards, Peter Yates

  3. Hi
Wife is looking forward to using the new non clogging wheel, she wants to know if it will stop her trousers getting muddy !!!!

  4. Message received this morning which we’ll share;
” Please please send me the parts to change my front wheel
into a freewheeling GoKart. l even had to dig the club secretary
out from under the wheel the other day. We wondered where he had gone
as no-one had seen him for weeks!”

  5. Bonjour,
After many visits to your site I am very tempted to treat myself this Christmas with a State Of The Art GOKART.
    I have one quick question……
Is the new Front Wheel standard on all new GoKarts….?
I hope to be in touch soon with my bank details……….
    Thanks in advance….
    Adam

  6. Adam,
Front wheel and knobby wheels are now standard on all GoKarts, Factory looks like the front grid at Silverstone…

  7. Just visited the factory for some minor running repair to my trolley and would like to say how helpful and pleasant all the staff were,a great company to do business with

  8. My front wheel gets clogged all the time and it’s a pain to remove and clean. Please will you send me the replacmenet assembly for my otherwise pretty perfect gokart!
    Thanks.
    Paul

  9. PS. the gokart has done wonders for my game except improving my handicap! I am sure there must be something you can do!!

  10. Paul,
Thanks for your message. We’ll get the revised parts, with fitting instructions, away as soon as possible. Some people say the best way to get your handicap down is to take fewer shots per round, hope this helps.

  11. I wanted to reduce my Handicap and with the use of Go Kart I have managed to achieve this.

    It is now 24 HURRAH

  12. Hi Chris as you know I now hve two GoKarts, one for the UK and one for Spain. My course In Majorca is Club Bendinat we really do have goats here most of the members find it too hard to get up the hills but with the GoKart I just Fly and the battery would certainly do more than 18 holes. One major problem is stopping down the paths any chance of fitting a brake?

  13. Hi Stanley,
We could say we have no sympathy for you telling us about Majorca in the middle of a chilly British January, but it’s OK, we can take it now that the days are getting longer again.
But you’re right, electric trolleys can be a handful going down steep paths. We avoided the complication/cost of a braking system on the current GoKart. It is on our features list though. So when we’re considering product development, it always comes up for discussion. It’s quite a major design change, so not something we can include quickly; it may even have to wait for a new model. Apologies, but we can only say “watch this space” for now.

  14. I must say that it was my best decision to buy the Go-Kart despite my wife’s constant reminder of how much i spend on Golf. I played through the winter for the first time and still playing.

However if one thing that could perhaps change would be the wet grass accumulation on the front wheel and between shorts I had to take off my cosy mittens to clear the wet grass & mud. I would be delighted if i can too receive your new invention !

  15. Just to let you know my replacement front wheel I ordered at the begining of the year was delivered to my office yesterday. I fitted it this morning (took about 15 Mins) and I tried it this afternoon. What a simple and effective solution. It worked well in the dry conditions this afternoon – a far cry from last Saturday when the frost got caught on the front wheel which prevented it from turning and made the rear wheels spin like a rally car!.
    Thank you.
    Stuart

  16. Thanks for my new go kart working very well helping with the wet conditions. My wife said I don’t look so tired when I get in from my round of golf, on the down side she wants me to start the decorating,
    Bob

  17. I have everything else to go with my super duper Go Kart – what about a Go Kart Trolley bag ?

  18. Hi Les,
Soon, very soon! We have some pictures we can tempt you with that’ll go on the site shortly. The bags are looking terrific. Watch this space.

  19. What is the legal/acceptable lower age limit for using a GoKart? I’m 33 and took a bit of flak from the lads for even mentioning one.

  20. Our youngest owner/driver is 9 (that we know of anyway). So you’re very much legal and acceptable. When you turn up on the first tee with it, they’re all going to change their tune very quickly…

  21. Got my new front wheel assembly and wheels last week. Ive played 4 rounds of golf and everything is fab.
The new wheels make a real difference to grip.
    cheers me dears…
