Funny FaceI soon discovered that when my balls were squeezed into the appointed receptacle one invariably popped out – somewhat embarrassing in front of the lady members.

Special instructions:
Ring buzzer at gate and be patient, whilst we decide whether to shoot your courier, let loose the hounds, or open the gates and take delivery. White hankerchief will assist in decision making and less likely to result in maiming of courier.

I read with interest about the use of hedgehogs on the wheels. Apart from hunting the little blighters down and suffering the fleas I managed to tie them onto the wheels. However, although they improved traction on the hillsides for a short while, they gradually became less efficient as they tended to flatten out and got very messy and did not smell too good either. Maybe I am on the wrong track. If you have come up with a more efficient idea I would like to hear about it.
All the best, Dave M

Had it’s first run on Saturday, I’m used to a 3rd hand powercaddy somewhat past it’s best, got nicked for speeding on the 15th………seriously impressed!
Kind regards, John G

Thanks for a super service. Kart looks great hope it performs as good as it looks, AND ITS BRITISH. That’s three things British I’ve got now, the others being Dualit toaster and a kettle.
Regards Chris R

I’ve never had an electric trolley before, but I have had a replacement hip.

Is the compound the new tyres made of legal? The smell is fantastic. Am thinking of sniffing the tyres instead of drinking whisky this Christmas!

GoKart’s aftersales service is as good as Kylie’s bum in tight shorts, yep honestly that good!

Thank you, I got my go kart today! Spot on with the delivery etc and lots nicer than the photo’s suggest.
However you lied to me, the battery wasn’t charged which has prevented me demonstrating this particular new toy to all of my colleagues.
In fact I was slightly embarressed as I had set up a race track and obstacle course in the outside corrider of the high risk factory with timing modules and EFSIS accreditation risks in place.
It also took me some time to persuade the polish workers that I would return the beef wellingtons to them and that their quota would not be diminished but now I just look daft….
The battery is now on charge and I’m hoping to give a sneak preview this lunchtime.
Thank you for your postcards, I have handed them out at work to people I like and deserving causes, not sure why I needed 4 cards as I only like 2 people and only one of them is a deserving cause. (she’s a chef, new to golf, poorly paid and single but young and not unattractive).
On that note your cards demonstrate a number of ‘fun’ situations. Can I just say that the colour ‘grey’ is not fun and a few splashes of green just doesn’t make up the gap.
I have asked around here and us ladies would like over the top fun please. We want bright vibrant colours and a choice of bling. Nothing too blingy but a choice of diamond studded something would be nice.
You guys have done a great job in ‘creating a fun image’ but as usual with you men you rarely live up to your promises.
Anyway, thanks for the prompt delivery, not so thanks for the uncharged battery and if you could do something with bling we would very much appreciate it. We would also be prepared to test play a few for you and show all the ladies at our club.
Think golf playing Barbie and your nearly there!
Kind regards, Sandie BFunny Face

Message: Reference your trial period, Id’ just like to say there’s no chance of you getting this trolley back!
Well pleased with it, thanks.

What can I say about Go Kart and my new trolley?
Well its grey with a green covered battery, it has a couple of grey wheels and its rather light and easy to use.
At first glance it looks like the old pushchair I used to use (until my ex husband got fed up with finding the kids sitting in the club house waiting for me to come back with their chair. Yes there is a reason he is the ex)
How do I find the staff and how I have been treated?
Well I thanked them for their prompt delivery (I actually got it the very next day delivered to my office)
And I haven’t needed to use their promise of rapid turnaround of repairs or loan trolleys as mine is more reliable than the regular begging notes I get from the kids at university.
But I am rather miffed that no one has taken my request for a bling style cart, you see grey is rather dull and it would be nice to have something interesting to look at whilst my partners are taking their 20min practise swing from the tee.
I did resort to decorating it at Christmas but the glass balls crushed in the carry bag….
So really you could say its all rather boring, I got a delivery next day, there has never been any problems with it, its a little grey and boring but the green battery cover goes some way in making up for that and it looks like a pushchair. Though its also the easiest cart I have ever had to put together so perhaps I should shut up.
Sandie B (again)

How much to send to France s.v.p. I would want an 18 hole version in red and light grey. Found your notes very helpful and amusing. Won’t bother with the seat, too many wild boars on our course, can’t afford to sit around too much!!
Best wishes
Joyce W

Hope you get the brolly holder finished before Christmas….otherwise it’s socks again.

  1. Re: Hedgehogs.
I have used hedgehogs on my Go Kart all through last winter, and had not had any problem at all. They improve traction no end on frosty slopes, and they also act like shock absorbers on paths etc. I did remove them a couple of weeks ago, and admittedly, the ‘nodules’ on the hedgehogs were full of various crud and detritus, which I guess could start to pen and ink a bit, although I have not experienced this myself, the only smell I sometimes get is my game stinks sometimes, but I guess that’s just down too me! Going back to the ‘nodules’, if that is the only minus, then I’m a happy man. I have actually re-fitted them as I had got so used to the shock absorbtion they provide that I actually found it a bit rattly without them! As for going a bit flat, no problems here, and I use a Callaway tour Bag, carry 14 clubs, plus all the usual paraphernalia and I’m running a 36 hole battery!
As long as you secure them, (I simply use one zip tie in between each 2 spokes), then you’ll be absolutely fine. I paid £20 from Direct Golf. Hope that helps anyone who is contemplating fitting Hedgehogs to their Go Kart.

  2. Forget to mention, and to back up Eddie Q’s comment. Go Kart’s aftersales service is like nothing else you have experienced, Kylie’s bum aside!
My Go Kart had to go in for quite major surgery, (through absolutely no fault of the trolley I must add), after my buddy honked his drive into the handle. Now altough the build quality is superb, you cannot expect any injection moulded plastic part to withstand an impact from a ball hit with an FT-i driver within 20 yards of the tee! As a result my Go Kart was looking rather sorry for itself, (although she still performed admirably for the remaining 8 holes, (a further sign of proper British build quality). I won’t go into detail, but suffice to say that my trolley was collected next day, with a loan trolley dropped off at the same time, and mine was returned, good as new within a week! What can I say, SUPERB. The moral of this story is; don’t be lazy, and always leave your trolley behind the tee box when your donkey of a mate is driving! Although if you do forget, your in safe hands with a Go Kart.

  3. fantastic service. I have been more than satisfied with my gokart and have had so many comments made about its fantastic look.It is always a talking topic among other golf players.Very modern and space – age. Many thanks for the prompt service.

  4. Initially I was VERY impressed with the service. When I ordered,(on a Monday) I got an email apologising for delays caused by the parts supplier and offering me a free transit bag for my ‘inconvenience’. In fact it was posted on the Friday – well within the period most suppliers aim for – and I received it within a week of ordering. So well done!
I’ve now used it twice – once on a short hilly course and once on a long flat one, and have been very impressed with the performance. What really surprised me is that when you set the speed to your walking pace it just keeps to that, even when going uphill, (unless the hill is pretty steep) – most trolleys I have used needed constant ‘tweaking’ of the speed control. So again, well done.
In fact, my only complaint concerns a loud whining noise that seems to come from above and behind the trolley. It’s particularly noticeable when I’ve played a bad shot! Is this a design flaw, and can you guys at GoKart do something about it?
A really great product that has already drawn quite a few positive comments. Keep up the faith!
    Jim

  5. yep-can’t be kind enough in my remarks no probs at all with the trolley and its drawn various envious looks and remarks- the most often being its batmobile looks ! Unfortunately its done little for my golf but I guess thats not really down to you folk but its handy to have somebody else to try to blame now and again !

  6. Took delivery of my nice new trolley,
Looked lovely in that black and blue.
Couldn’t wait for my friends to see it,
Although of friends I only have two!
Still, two are better than none,
    And both were suitably impressed,
As I unfolded my nice new trolley,
    Then felt considerably under dressed!
‘That’s Sexy’ came the cheers from the car park,
I felt so proud in the evening sun,
Go Kart had made me feel special,
Until I realised my flies were undone!!!!

  7. wonder if your designers could come up with a brolly holder to fit on to the trolly this would be for open brollies

  8. Although i have just purchased a brand new gokart, i wondered how the battery is kept ry and safe? all these other trolley manufacturers have waterproof bags and coverings to keep the battery dry and although i havent actually got my kart just yet, cant see that the battery is covered in any way?

  9. Adam,
The battery doesn’t need to be kept completely dry. It is sealed which prevents water getting in to the case itself. The bags that some other electric trolley batteries are in are not usually waterproof. Our battery has a cover (the coloured bit with a handle moulded into it) that protects the two terminals and prevents anything shorting across, which is a hazard. As long as the battery is not completely submerged in water (which would short the battery terminals), there’s no problem. We recommend walking round lateral water hazards, and not through them, for this reason. You don’t need to worry, even if Hurricane Gustav creeps up on you, your GoKart will be fine.

  10. Thanks for your reply, although you have scuppered my plans… I was thinking of attaching a contraption to the back of the trolley so i could send it through the lake to find my balls, as well as pick eveyone else’s up while i mosey on round… Oh well, carrying my bag is all it will be doing then.

  11. Altaf,
We’re really going as fast as we can. Admittedly, putting a brolly on a trolley isn’t like putting a man on the moon, but there’s thousands of pounds worth of injection mould tooling to be made, and we need to get it right. Sorry it’s taking so long.

  12. Had mine just over 2 weeks now – love it, love it, love it :-)

Great service – ordered 3.00pm Monday, Delivered 10.00am Tuesday!

It’s the only electric trolley that fits in the boot of my convertible Saab and still enables the rag top to be opened.

Lots of questions at my club and admiring glances – if only they were for me from the lady members!

    Keep up the great work

  13. I was given one of your lovely golf buggies for my 57 birthday and i have to say it is fantastic. It has changed my life completely. Even on the first day it changed my relationship with my wife – How ? because I beat her to death with it. Ever since then my golf has improved & my handicap has plummeted. Well not in the strict sence of the word as i dont have proper handicap – except my wooden leg of course – but then i’m the sort of person who likes playing golf at night – the buggy chuggs on ahead & I frolick in my tights and panties skipping & rolling thorough the stinging nettles. – ooooooooooooooh
Any case thanks again – can you advise me if you have plans to produce an underwater version ? Brgds Brian

  14. Golf bag delivered today .Amazing service. Many thanks. Just wish the golf was as good!!!

  15. Thanks to everyone at GO KART,your customer services are second to none!Had to send my broken trolley back to be fixed after an unprovoked attack from a jealous POWAKADDY with an obvious inferiority complex.Trolley was collected, fixed and re-delivered within one week.Have learned my lesson!and my cart will never be left alone in the boot of my car again with any inferior brand of trolley.

  16. Great trolley, had it for a while now and more and more people seem to be on the course with these marvelous trolleys.
Unfortunately my battery would not show a charged signal so just kept getting hotter. phoned GoKart and recieved a new charger the very next day, unfortunately this did not cure the problem and the very next day a new Battery arrived.
had lots of other trolleys from other companies, but your after sales service is second to none.
    Thank you.
