website… I have a good feeling about this relationship. I think we
are going to go the distance. I will have a farewell game with my

GoKarts cleaning up at South Winchester

Coincidence? We don’t think so. With the South Winchester Ladies Club championship going to one GoKart owner, the top nett prize going to another, and the senior champion also sporting a GoKart they rather romped over the field. Congrats to the ladies there; Sally Ireland (on the right), Lindsay Dolphin (left) and Denise Wilson (polishing trophies at home). Handicap cuts have been sprinkled with abandon!

GoKart Limerick Competition

In celebration of our extremely successful launch in Ireland we thought we’d have a bit of a limerick competition. You know the sort of thing; ‘There was a young man from Devizes…’ (cleanish please, or not, but then we won’t be able to print it, just titter here at GKHQ). It doesn’t have to be about a GoKart, but the theme should be golf.

We’ll run the competition for a month, and the winner will have their limerick illustrated by Geoff Waterhouse and sent to them in a posh frame, completely unique and ready to display with pride.

We’re used to customers asking various weird questions about the GoKart, but this was a first;

“Having bought my GoKart (a rather striking black/orange creation) last month I am unashamedly smitten with it. I have managed to locate some suitably impressive golf trousers but I’m struggling for golf shoes that cut the mustard. Any ideas?”

Yes, Adrian, lots of ideas. But when it comes to golf shoes, hmmmmmm? After 10 seconds thought there can only be one answer. Custom FJ’s. perfickt.

Well despite his other rather ungentlemanly question involving the subject of women playing golf versus ironing, Vin (I’m not really a male chauvinist) Hollyoake wins our competition to select the next Big Vote question. You’ll see it on the left <

We had some crackers. Amongst the honourable mentions were Iwan Jones (which isn’t really surprising as he sent in about a dozen entries. Does that man never sleep?) with his rather random -

Ever so many questions about Tiger’s technique (we’ve left him alone for the moment) – and some which sparked off a fair bit of debate here at GKHQ. This one from Guy Taylor caused a rumpus -
Q. Should women only be allowed to be 5 day members of a golf club?
A. Christmas day, Boxing day, New years day, Good Friday, Easter Sunday.
B. Their birthday plus 4 Bank Holiday Mondays.
C. Neither of the above.

“Who said that it wasn’t worth bothering with an umbrella holder? I’ve never regretted ordering one for my GOKART trolley. Great for holding a banana, especially when part eaten when called to the tee. I also stick my club head cover in the space (not with a banana) whilst taking my next shot.”

Win a dozen GoKart balls

We have a little diversion on our blog, which we’ve called in rather understated style ‘THE BIG VOTE’. We thought maybe someone else might like to set the question this time round, so we’re putting up a dozen of our best ‘hole in one friendly’ balls for the person that suggests the question we like the most.

So, your mission is, should you choose to accept it, suggest what the next big vote is going to be. The format is a question, followed by two or more suggested answers. Best to keep the possible answers to a maximum of around four, otherwise the results get a bit woolly.
