Win a dozen GoKart balls

Feb 28

We have a little diversion on our blog, which we’ve called in rather understated style ‘THE BIG VOTE’. We thought maybe someone else might like to set the question this time round, so we’re putting up a dozen of our best ‘hole in one friendly’ balls for the person that suggests the question we like the most.

So, your mission is, should you choose to accept it, suggest what the next big vote is going to be. The format is a question, followed by two or more suggested answers. Best to keep the possible answers to a maximum of around four, otherwise the results get a bit woolly.

To help get you in the mood, here are some of the questions we’ve asked in the past, together with the vote results;
Q. When does the golf season start? A. First day of the US Masters (13%), A. It never ends! (87%)
Q. Links golf is the only real golf… A. True (30%), A. Rubbish (70%)
Q. Which club would you like to blend? A. Driver (27%), A. Putter (73%)
Q. What’s the hardest thing to change about your game? A. Grip (22%) , A. Alignment (28%) , A. Temperament (50%)
Q. Mixed golf? A. Oh yes! (50%) A. If I must, (20%) A. Mixed gruesomes?, You must be joking (30%)
Q. Winter golf? A. I play all year, whatever the weather (54%), A. I play all year, unless it’s nasty (42%), A. I only play when the sun has got his hat on, hip hip hip hooray (4%)

To enter, just post your suggestion in the comments below. The one we use first gets the balls.

GoKart enters the space race

Feb 20

Eight year old Isabel T’s spaceship; a fine bit of recycling we think.  Isabel apparently visited the planet Kryton yesterday, saving the planet.  Sell any GoKarts, Isabel?

Who says you can’t pull with a GoKart?

Jan 20

“I played a very well known golf course in Scotland this week for the second time with my golfing buddy.  I was in the pro-shop paying the fees when a lady member said, “You’re back!  Have you brought your sexy friend with you again?”. “Er yes” I replied, “he’s just outside”.

I mentioned this on the first tee to my buddy and he was totally embarassed and wondering who would say such a thing. Needless to say, this was the heart of conversation throughout the round, which I (unusually) won by six shots. When we arrived at the 19th it was clear that the lady was actually talking about my new “green electric buddy” and not my golf buddy!

Now he wants to get back to the course again to beat me with a clear head!
Lovin’ it…………..”

Now we don’t want to make you feel bad, but if you didn’t have a go at our Christmas puzzle then you might just kick yourself when you read what people had to say about it.  But all is not lost, even if there isn’t a prize at the end of the rainbow you can still have a go, just for the hell of it.  The support forum is still live, will all the hints you might need.  So don’t be nervous, dive in – we promise we won’t giggle when you get stuck (we got stuck plenty of times too…) Here’s the link to enter GoKart Xmas Puzzle

GoKart quiz

And we have a winner from the Christmas entries – Gail K. from Surrey, who is suitably chuffed.

And to everyone that entered over Christmas, thank you.  We enjoyed the banter, and with all the golf courses closed it kept us thoroughly out of mischief too. This is what some of them had to say about it all; (more…)

A GoKart guide to earning brownie points…

Dec 23

“It has been a month now since I took delivery of my GoKart – fantastic service. I wish I could say that it does everything it says on the tin but unfortunately I CAN’T !! – I “lost” it.

My wife returned from a shopping trip just as I was test driving it around the lounge – she thought she had discovered her surprise Xmas present – there were a rare few moments of silence then, “WOW it’s fantastic, I’ll love you forever” – I’m not sure whether she was speaking to me or “Apollo” (so christened for its space age looks and innovation).
Having gained trillions of brownie points I still find myself carrying my clubs. As Apollo is so simple to set up and put down and stow in the car she who must be obeyed now insists I have one! – everything comes to him that waits.
I hope your breeding programme is up to speed and your “GoStud” is in the mood to sire another ‘Kart’ to replace my lost one.

Merry Xmas & a Prosperous New Year Keep up the good work, love your website.
Ordered replacement today”.

There’s something a bit wrong here.

Dec 10

“Got my GoKart this week because I was told it would improve my game.  So far I have only managed to hit the ball 80yds. off the tee. I am finding that the wheels are catching the back of my head as I swing back…… It’s the only problem I have found so far. I spoke to my club Pro’ about it & surprise surprise he has changed my grip……….lovin’ it.”
