Winter Warranty

We’ve been thinking (nothing else to do, can’t play golf). All the GoKarts we’ve sold recently; they’re mostly just sitting around twiddling their cogs (it’s what they do when you’re not looking – didn’t you know?). Most courses are closed and even the smug links course members, with their well drained sandy soil, have had to stay indoors more than usual.

So we’ve decided to do our bit to overcome the winter blues; we’re extending our guarantee. The two year warranty on all GoKarts bought since 1st December 2009 won’t start until 1st April 2010. There’s no need for owners to do anything, we know who bought what and when, and it’ll all take care of itself.

Quick game of Tiger Woods PGA Tour on Wii anyone?

  1. This is going to sound like it’s written by a politician, but it really is difficult to give a straight answer. There’s a wide variation. Some factors that make a difference are; weight of golf bag, frequency of use, temperature (batteries aren’t as efficient in cold weather), recharging promptly after use, and staying on the fairway helps a bit too. Besides all that, there can be a variation between two batteries even if they’re used in identical conditions. As a rough (very) guide, you need to treat yourself to a new one sometime between one and three years.

  2. We play on greens when covered in ice or snow if it’s not too deep, the course should be renamed the windmill, we never close!!!! Even Go Karts can be used all the year round whatever the weather, buggies rarely taken off as well. The downside to this is we play a course which resembles a rugby pitch with the probably the worst greens in the country for most of the year, but we get our money’s worth from the Go Kart!!!!!!!

  3. Of all the buggy makers in all the world, only you good people at ‘GoKart ‘could think of the ‘Winter Warranty’ arrangement, brilliant stuff!! Keep up the great work – Oh, did I tell you – I love my GoKart!!

    regards,

    Chris Coleman

    Very satisfied customer!

  4. Like the virgin snow on this green my gokart is still a virgin roll on the milder weather, itching to get my new gokart/bag going!!

  5. I would not call Links members smug! ,even in jest all golfers wherever they are members want to play golf regardles. It is didapointing that courses are closed and frustrating for all.
Hopefully the weather will break for the benifit af all , that we may drive like we have never driven and putted like we have never putted, and enjoyed each others company, and had fun

  6. Once again your customer service is exemplary! My partner fell onto her trolley trying to break a nasty fall and broke the handle (instead of her wrist) it really looked sick. Being Vice Captain she plays every week ( snow permitting) and was worried that she would be without her faithful kart. Our knights at GoKart once again came up trumps and by the next day we have a substitute kart whilst her one is in the GoKart hospital. Thanks one and all who needs a winter warranty when you have a team with all year round customer ethics!

  7. I am very pleased with my recently purchased GoKart..

My previous trolley was equipped with timed controls for additional run distances.

It would be suggested that a similar system would enhance the GoKart!

    Kind Regards

    Peter

  8. Reference the query about battery life and the answer (january 24 and 31, 2010) I bougt a GoKart back in May 2008 and also a spare battery carrier so that I could use the year-old battery from my defunct foreign electric trolley. I use the GoKart battery and the spare for alternate games ( both are 18 hole batteries).

Both batteries still have bags of power after 18 holes, and on one occasion when I was playing 36 holes I forgot to take the GoKart battery with me to take care of the second 18. I needn’t have worried as the GoKart managed the 36 holes with no problem – not bad considering that when the battery was in use on my “budget-price” old trolley it sometimes only just made 18 holes.. My bag has the full 14 club complement plus the usual pocket clutter so it’s not light.

    GoKart really is streets ahead.

  9. My trolley packed up on me last week and not being sure what the problem was I rang at 4.45pm and was told that it could be picked up the following day .This was a very efficient service for repairs and on Monday it was returned mended at the exact time predicted by email. I would like to express my thanks and say how very polite the driver who delivered the cart was.
