Chic, suave sophisticated…
Aug 18 2008 Posted in Euro, GoKart News by GoKart… and black. New look battery cover.
We sometimes get asked for a slightly less hyperactive look for the GoKart. Well, we always listen to what people say, and we’ve come up with a black battery option. We think it looks pretty good, and are wishing we’d done it before, but here it is now. When people order a second battery, it can be a good idea to get it in a different colour to be able to tell ‘em apart. We have one customer who has blue for every day and black for club championships. Class.

Mary,
The bulk of the GoKart is black (we call it dark grey in case any pedantic EU commissioners want to have a quibble). In addition you can order a GoKart with a black battery cover (so just the speed roller, wheel hubs and handle lock are in the highlight colour; green, blue red or pink). To order a black battery in our webshop, choose a highlight colour and add “black battery” in the “special instructions” box. Alternatively you can place an order by calling us on 01227 712288. The black cover has proved to be rather popular; we’re not surprised, it does look very, very smart.

I’ve just been reading your E-Mails and they’re all from men. four ladies at our club have your trolleys myself included. the only man is my husband making that five. a brolly holder would be good but only if its very stable. too many wave about in the wind and are a pain

Terry,
Click here for more details and a picture of the seat. We don’t have a date for the brolley holder yet. It’s a priority and you’ll be the first to know when it’s ready!

Hi Guys
Just seen the Blog, Black sounds good to me but having just visited the accessories section I notice that you offer a seat ! Where and when did that come about and what about a picture ?
Also as winter approaches (did I miss summer ?) when will the brolly holder be available.
Thanks for everything I think there are now 4 at Diss GC (maybe they are mating !)

Black looks good to me. I still think team or national sports colours would go down better

I just luv my pink battery, wouldn’t swap it for the world…………..

Martyn,
With the black battery cover, the only parts left in the red/blue/green or pink are the speed roller, handle lock and wheel hubs. These parts are quite small so the overall effect is all black. Without a little splash of colour, we’d be worried if you happened to be playing on a moonless night you might loose your trolley. You can buy a kit to convert your battery to black in our webshop. The cost is £12. We do plan to have a GoKart golf bag available soon – hopefully in time for Christmas!

Hi, are there any plans to bring out a all black Go-kart? I think it would look great and if my blue Go-kart ever needs changing I’d buy one. By the way any plans to bring out a Go-Kart bag?
Cheers Martyn.

Seems a good idea but no required at present by an old fossil like me

Earth colours are ideal and your new black battery and holder should not be distracting from the main purpose: the golf, but any other colours will just add to the garish intrusions we are getting in our environment. We will soon have so many colours we cannot see anything. To think that our green and pleasant land will resemble the visual horror of Las Vegas is deeply distressing.
The players can be colourful and stand out, of course, but only if the background remains just that: the background.

A good idea, but i quite like my blue one!!

A great idea.
Why not include a voice modem to indicate when you are about to make a shot that would embarrass the whole of your family and most of the neighbours?

I think the bright colours are great on your GoKarts, that is what makes them unique.
Keep up the good work, everyone at my Wifes Golf Club loves her GoKart, so keep them bright and colourful.

Hi, after accidently dropping my 18 hole battery I received my new 36 hole battery today complete with new black cover. Very good it looks too. Fantastic response and super quick delivery. If only all British Companies would treat their customers as well as you do yours.
Many thanks,
Baron.

Gerry,
Yes you can; in our webshop (click here), click on “Optional Accessories” and choose a “battery fitting kit”, colour black

I told you ages ago that black was cool! Can I buy just a black battery cover, as I do not need a new battery (yet)?

black is a good alternative.

Adrian,
The redesigned lower bag rest will still support the bag in the same way as the existing part. We find that stand bags are usually OK on the GoKart. There are lots of different shapes and sizes which means it’s sometimes necessary to position the bag on it’s side, resulting in restricted access to some of the pockets.

Does the new design front wheel assembly mean the GoKart will easily fit stand bags and if so when will it be available please?
August 19th, 2008 at 2:00 pm
Well OK but I dont really care about the color. Never mind the quality feel the width. Go-kart battery is gr8 no matter what the color.
Mine is still in superb form….pity the golf isn’t #######
