GoKart raises £650 at charity event
Oct 07 2009 Posted in Euro, GoKart News by GoKartSene Valley Golf Club in Kent hosted a mixed competition in September in aid of Breast Cancer Research – and thanks to the hard work of Ros Whalley, who put the day together, a fantastic sum of £1700 was raised, with a GoKart rustling up £650. 54 players enjoyed plenty of sunshine and by all accounts some (nearly) serious golf.
We’re delighted to have been able to help out, and we’re pleasantly staggered at the amount of dosh that the GoKart raised. Time to put our prices up? (only joking).
Don’t they dance nicely at Sene Valley? Must be the water.

Oct 02 2009 Posted in Euro, Geoff Waterhouse, GoKart News by GoKart“It was a chilly day in the Hundred Acre Wood, and Pooh was looking pensive. “Feeling Eleven’o'clockish?” enquired Piglet. “Perhaps” replied Pooh, “but I’m just wondering whether I put the PoohKart battery on the thingummyjig?” Relieved to find that he indeed had (Pooh is after all a very silly old bear), they decided that in celebration they should both partake of a few more holes of hunt the ball. And so, grabbing his Pooh sticks, all thoughts of Eleven’o'clockishness disappeared. At least until a Proper Tea.”
With utmost respect to AA Milne, EH Shepard and more recently David Benedictus for the rekindling of genius, and of course Geoff Waterhouse for his constantly kindling genius. He’s good with Pooh sticks too.

Be honest, do you have any idea about what is currently happening in the FedEx Cup playoffs, or any interest, come to that?
The playoffs, as you will recall with absolute clarity, are the US Tour’s end of season big money jamboree and were designed to inject a little zest and hype into the fag end of the playing year, once the majors were all done and dusted and we punters had nothing to look forward to apart from the prospect of getting a few Titleist Pro Vs in our Christmas stockings. So far they have been about as successful as the waiter walking around the deck of the sinking Titanic asking if anyone wanted more ice. (more…)

Sep 25 2009 Posted in Euro, Geoff Waterhouse, GoKart News by GoKartWe recently took a couple of GoKarts for walkies away from their usual patch (Canterbury) – brownie points and maybe a couple of Titleists if you can say where we were. And we’ll chuck in a couple more if you can say the hole and the course.
