Well here we go again! Are you up for a bit of a challenge?

“I kept within the ‘Divorce Quota”…just!”
No he doesn’t mean too much time spent at the club – he’s talking about our Christmas Quiz. Infuriating, exasperating and a whole lot of fun, we did rather take over people’s lives for a while there.

So, all you masochists out there, we’ve gone and done it again.  Announcing the GoKart Grand Summer Puzzle. Running from Easter until September, we GUARANTEE you will be hooked.  It’s even more addictive than the smell of a brand new golf glove (does that sound wrong?  But it’s true isn’t it!)

So dive in, try a level or two and soon you’ll be in the thick of it, begging for redemption.  Don’t worry, there’s a support forum where trained puzzle therapists are poised ready to talk you through it.  Just get through the levels and email us at the end with the final answer. You’ll emerge older, wiser, and (maybe) you’ll even win a GoKart at the end.

Enjoy. And please don’t hate us (too much). Click here to go to the puzzle

Win a GoKart at the US Masters

Mar 29 2010

And if you guess correctly you’ll have a chance of winning a GoKart.  In the first of our four competitions running with the Majors, all you have to do is predict the winner and the winning score. If more than one person gets it right we shall bring out our special prize picking hat and pull out the lucky blighter.

And to make it a bit easier, here are all the runners and riders, and a list of the last ten winners and the scores.  There are no major course changes at Augusta this year – the last modifications of any note were in 2006 (that should help with scoring predictions…)

So will it be Tiger?  How will his nerve be after all the kerfuffle? Or could it be a Brit or a European?  Here at GKHQ Lee Westwood gets a strong vote, with Poulter having a bit of a following too. (more…)

Feeling the difference yet?

Mar 29 2010

Here’s Lesson 7 in our online Yoga for Golf course.  By now you should be noticing a few less creaks and groans at the top of the backswing! This week we’re working your core muscles a bit more and focusing on your lower back too.  What’s great is that the exercises won’t just make you more supple, they’ll actively help you avoid injury by strengthening the muscles that work around your spine.

C’mon Ernie! Make it a double (win, not bogey).

Today’s column from Martin. Now we’re not saying he’s cantankerous but…
Thought for the Day
Can someone who knows Morse code ever really enjoy a tap-dancing show?

Defining moments
Before starting I should, perhaps, declare an interest – Ernie Els is my favourite golfer in the world. Not just because of the apparently unconscious fluidity of his swing (which is an illusion, by the way, as he works just as hard on that beautiful rhythm as on any other part of his game) but also because he thinks that the way you live your life and treat other people is just as important as the trophies and honours you gather along the way. He remains as he always been; polite, considerate, amiable, relaxed and funny – in short, he’s not Vijay Singh. (more…)

Mar 22 2010

This week’s Yoga for Golf lesson concentrates on core and upper body strength.  We’ve two exercises that are so simple, yet really effective.  They just take a few minutes – build them into your daily routine and you’ll soon find your strength and endurance increasing.
And as usual, don’t forget to limber up with the warm up first – it’s here
