There’s something about those balls
Jul 10 2009 Posted in Euro, Geoff Waterhouse, GoKart News by GoKartGeoff Waterhouse, our GoKartoonist in residence (well he doesn’t actually live here at GKHQ, just us and the elves that make the trolleys) has been the latest to suffer the fate of the GoKart ball. On the 14th at Grange Fell in Cumbria. Spooky isn’t it!

Once again, time to polish off your crystal balls (oooh err missus) and tell us who’s going to emerge mighty and triumphant at Turnberry this year. Same rules – you predict the Open Champion, and their score, and TWO lucky winners will have their psychic skills rewarded with a shiny new GoKart (or the equivalent in bits and pieces; bags, batteries, logo’d pyjama cases etc…) We have a rollover from the US Open when Mr. Glover fooled us all. Well not his Mum, she always knew he’d come to something. (more…)

A roundup of Open thoughts from our man on the fairway with his finger on the pulse of world golf. Tough to swing a golf club when you’re doing that…
It’s not Open for you guys
Spare a thought, if you will, for Taco Remkes of The Netherlands (that’s ‘Holland’ to you and me); Peter Lawrie of Ireland, and Englishmen Daniel Willet and Mark Foster. All four took part at Sunningdale in Final International Qualifying for the Open Championship, played superbly, fired seven-under par for two rounds – and lost out in a playoff. (more…)
The GlasgowKart
Jul 08 2009 Posted in Euro, Geoff Waterhouse, GoKart News by GoKartThe GlasgowKart – another Mr. Waterhouse geniuspiece.
In honour of the honorable gentlemen of Turnberry and thereabouts. Just a tad stereotypical, yes, but not a hint of Irn-Bru. Please note, the learner is clearly English and a Numpty. And his sporran is considerably smaller.
Scotland rocks (well apart from St.Georges – roll on 2011!)

Jul 04 2009 Posted in Euro, GoKart News by GoKartah…no, it’s OK; it’s just his glove, stuck on with velcro. Top tip though (thanks to Matthew P from Lichfield).

Jul 03 2009 Posted in Euro, GoKart News by GoKartHuge well dones to two young GoKarteers, Ben Davis and Sean Linnie, from Ledbury who completed a gruelling 500 holes-in-two-days marathon in aid of Cancer Research. Raising over £1,000 for the charity, over the last nine they even joined in with a club competition. Pit changes for fresh batteries were timed to perfection (you’d never guess Ben’s family run a team of competitive GoKarts of the racing variety…) and the whole thing ran very smoothly. Which is more than the lads could manage the following day.
Here’s Sean and Ben on the final green (Ben on the right). They’re GoKarts aren’t visible because a) they’re standing on the green, b) they were too knackered to think about sensible promo shots for us, and c) the trolleys were off on their way to the first (again) tee for another hundred or so holes.

You can still donate to the fundraising here www.justgiving.com/bendavis1
Kids these days? … They’re brilliant.
