Three GoKarts to win at the USPGA
Jul 25 2009 Posted in Euro, GoKart News by GoKart
Will it be an obvious contender? Or like the US and The Open, will the spotlight land on one of the lesser (but still very clever) mortals? Well here we are with the final Major of the year looming, and the chance for not one, not two, but THREE lucky people to win GoKarts by predicting the winner. And if nobody guesses the champ, we’ll go down the list until we get three winners. We’re hellbent on giving these trolleys away. We’ll accost an old lady in the street and force a trolley upon her if you don’t enter. And that would be cruel.
To enter simply post a comment below with your predicted winner, and their finishing score. Entries close with the first tee off time on Thursday 13th August. Entries posted after this using time travel not permitted. (more…)

Jul 23 2009 Posted in GoKart News, Latest News by GoKartWe’ve always made a big do about how you can use other makes of battery with a GoKart. Lots of people have golf trolley batteries kicking around the garage, and it’s far better to use it on a trolley than as a door stop. Whether you buy a GoKart without our battery, or get a complete GoKart set and use your old battery alongside ours, it doesn’t matter. It means a big heavy lump of the Earth’s innards doesn’t get wasted.
Not all golf trolley batteries will work with the GoKart, but two of the most popular sizes will, so we’ve put a page on our site to help you see if yours is any good. Click here for all the info, but if you need more help just shout.

Jul 22 2009 Posted in Euro, Golf News, Martin Vousden by GoKartA few thoughts about this years Open from our regular columnist, Martin Vousden, golf writer and former editor of Today’s Golfer
“A whimper, not a bang
So, for the second Major championship in a row we get the most anti-climactic finish imaginable. At both Bethpage Black and Turnberry we could have had a complete unknown (Ricky Barnes or Mathew Goggin) emerge blinking into the unaccustomed glare of the spotlight; a local favourite (Phil Mickelson or Lee Westwood) sending the fans into raptures, or the most improbable comeback (David Duval or Tom Watson) since Muhammad Ali gave George Foreman the rope-a-dope in Kinshasa. Oh, and in either case we could have seen Ross Fisher notch up a big one. (more…)
Two GoKarts unclaimed
Jul 21 2009 Posted in Euro, GoKart News, Golf News, Golf Quotes by GoKartWell all we wanted (apart from a Watson win) was to give out two shiny new GoKarts to winners in our Open comp, but it wasn’t to be…yes, we’re still moping about it. Plenty of backing for Mr. Westwood, we would have had plenty of winners to go in a hat there. But nobody opted for Mr. Cink. Nobody bet on Tom either but if they had, we probably would have chuckled before Thursday morning. How daft are we…

So without any more ado, we’ll cheer up, dust ourselves off, show solid British resolve and announce THREE GoKarts up for grabs at the USPGA, held at Hazeltine National Golf Club, Chaska, Minnesota.
We’ll be posting the competition entry soon, so if you’re not already on our mailing list, sign up and we’ll let you know when it’s time to place your bets.
